First off, this is the first post I have made with Blogger so forgive my structuring and lack of a ready to be viewed profile. I recently spoke with @LazFanPage on Twitter and we've decided that a cast and crew update for Breakout Kings is necessary so here is your walk-through on what everyone has been up too. I asked Nick Santora if he could give us some insight on season 2. Unfortunately, he couldn’t give anything away about the plot. However, he did tell me that they will be hitting the writers room in this coming week and he had already had a sit down with Jimmi Simpson and Laz Alonso about the upcoming season and they are very excited for it.
The talented Malcolm Goodwin has been spending his off screen time behind the camera filming his new movie 'Construction'. I don't know a whole lot about it other than what Malcolm has tweeted about it. I know Anabelle Acosta (@ABelleAcosta) and Malcolm Xavier(@MaloHere) both have roles in the film and Malcolm's fans are anticipating his return to Twitter for more of an update.
The lovely Serinda Swan took on a horror role in a film called 'Creature' that is said to be released Sept.9th 2011 (IMDB.com). Co-stars include Mehcad Brooks, who everyone knows as 'Eggs' from HBO's True Blood and how could anyone forget him playing 'Matthew Applewhite' on Desperate Housewives. The duo also acts alongside Sid Hag (House of 1000 corpses) and she also has upcoming roles in a few other movies due to be released in 2011/12 that are still post-production. Moving on to my favorite, the multi-talented Jimmi Simpson takes on more roles than a LARPing convention. Speaking of larping, he attented Comic Con in San Diego last week for his upcoming movie 'Knights of Badassdom' alongside Ryan Kwanten, Peter Drinklage, Summer Glau, Steve Zahn and Danny Pudi . Jimmi also has a role in 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' where he will play Joshua Speed and I am beyond excited for this one. It's so different from the trendy vampire sh*t that that we've been swarmed with. I know what you're all thinking and no i'm not just saying this knowing that Jimmi has a role in it. Seriously, the plot is kick-ass and will be released sometime in 2012.
Bronx boy Domenick Lombardozzi has a leading role in '8 Ball' which already started filming. Co-stars include Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos) and Paul Ben-Victor who also acted in The Wire with Domenick. Other than that I don't know much about what he has been up too but what I do know is this has got to be one of the sweetest guys ever whether he is sharing a motivational tweet or just chatting with his fans.
Brooke Nevin, the ever beautiful Julianne Simms is currently filming a movie called 'Alter Egos', another movie that i'm very excited for and she will be acting alongside Canadian actor Kris Lemche. You know Kris from Final Destination 3, Ghost Whisperer, Ginger Snaps and most likely many other things, this kid has a long resume. I don't know about you all but I am really looking for more Lloyd/Julianne scenes!
